So, you’ll soon learn (if you haven’t already) that almost every mountain in China is holy in some way or another. I think mountains in general have that ethereal thing going on. The UK doesn’t seem to get it. Probably ‘cause they’re always more on the hill side than the never-ending sweat and tears side of the spectrum.

On our way to camping on the oh-so-anticipated Great Wall of China, I Fought the Law by Olivia Locher comes to mind. Locher’s decision not to tell us which are law and which are legend makes even more obvious the stubborn irrationality of each. It’s an irrationality that can similarly be observed in China.
