Nomadic Tenses

Roland Barthes (French dude, big into literature and philosophy) describes cameras as ‘clocks for seeing’. I’ve got a lot of photographs and videos from Mongolia that really fail to capture its essence. I’ve briefly touched on it before but I thought I may expand a little today.

Photographs have a strange past, present, and future tense that create an odd relationship. They accentuate that we are all living our lives in relation to time. Weird, strange and fascinating huh.
